I’ve spent the weekend catching up and wondering when I will be able to do normal day-to-day tasks again. Some things will be impossible, but who knows maybe I’ll master the art of putting my socks on with one hand – even sending a text will be a challenge with one arm in a sling. However, tomorrow I need to go back to the diabetic clinic so they can check on my foot injury – which bizarrely has been OK up until this morning and now it is feeling a bit strange. I’m going to try not to think about it too much but if they think that there is anything to worry about then the surgery may be delayed. This is the last thing I want – after building myself up for the last six weeks it would be awful to be postponed at the last-minute.
Two days to go ….

Been thinking about you Michelle, wondering if things are still on track. Hope all goes to plan .. Good Luck! Oh yeah, just thought, how are you going to update us on your blog with one hand? You will need a secretary!

Thanks Lesley but where there’s a will, there’s a way. Maybe I can get Steve to temp for me until I get used to it 😄

Hi Michelle! I’ll be thinking of you tomorrow – can Steve do an update on your blog to let us know how it went? Try to think of the big picture – it will be worth it in the end. This is the first blog I’ve ever read – thanks for leading me into the 21st century!

Thanks Claire, I’ve never read or written a blog either so it’s a learning experience and great therapy when you know people actually care. I’m hoping to be able to do updates myself, although they may be short and take me ages, it’s not like I’ll be doing much else 😄

Give it a couple of weeks and you’ll be feeling much better. Just be careful not to try to do to much too soon!
