It was 7 years ago today that I had my first total shoulder replacement, and I can honestly say that I have no regrets. Although I still have some pain and stiffness, I think that this is only to be expected with osteoarthritis and the fact that I have been rather lax in the exercise department over the past year or so. Every day I promise myself that I will exercise but somehow other issues always seem to get in the way.
If anyone is thinking about having a replacement, then I would just say that if you have tried everything else then you have nothing to lose. If you are prepared to do the physio then you have a good chance of regaining good movement.

Well done Michelle. I totally agree that an early replacement if needed is the way to go. Both my shoulder replacements are good and I still swim 30 minutes crawl and backstroke 6 days a week and I am now 76. Keep moving all parts of the body if you can.
